The Federal Police forces began implementing the first phase of the security fortification of the villages of the Waqf Basin in Diyala.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “Formations of the Federal Police began implementing the first phase of security fortification in the vicinity of / 8 / villages within the Waqf Basin, the largest agricultural basin, northeast of Baquba.”

He explained: “The security fortification aims to secure roads and orchards and prevent any attempts to infiltrate into the area, while monitoring suspected cases.”
