KHARTOUM, Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir issued a decree on Thursday to discharge Ibrahim Ghandour from his post as foreign minister.
The decision, published through Sudan News Agency, did not reveal the reasons for the sacking or naming the successor.
Last night, Ghandour said he had difficulty managing his ministry due to issues related to diplomats salaries, and described the situation as “tragic” and called on members of Parliament to work to tackle the crisis.
Last January, the foreign minister resigned from his post without explaining the reason for his decision, but the Sudanese presidency did not agree to his request at the time.
