Italy’s Lucia Bronzetti won the 21st edition of HRH Princess Lalla Meryem Grand Prix on the Women’s Tennis Tour (WTA), after beating Austria’s Julia Grabher.
Bronzetti won the final in three sets, 6-4, 5-7, 7-5.
In the semi-finals, the Italian, ranked 102nd in the world, beat American Sloane Stephens, seeded No.1, 6-1, 6-1. For her part, Grabher, ranked 74th in the world, eliminated Argentina’s Julia Riera (6-1, 3-6, 7-6).
