The Minister of Interior Receives The Head Of The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate And Directs To Facilitate The Work Of Journalists And Media Professionals

The Minister of Interior, Abd al-Amir al-Shammari, directed the adoption of the identity of the Journalists Syndicate or the identification card of the media institution to facilitate the work of journalists.

The Ministry of Interior said in a statement that “The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, received today the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, President of the Federation of Arab Journalists, Moayad Al-Lami, who presented congratulations and blessings to the Minister on the occasion of his return from the Holy Land after completing the rituals of Hajj, in the presence of a number of officers,” noting that he “The directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces were discussed in facilitating the work of media professionals and journalists in the various regions of the country.”

The minister stressed, “the need to refrain from requesting a letter to facilitate a task and to rely on the identity of the Journalists Syndicate or the identification card of the media institution by the security personnel,” praising “the great efforts made by the press family to support the security services in their security work.”

For his part, Al-Lami praised “the minister’s keenness and interest in media professionals and journalists and providing them with support and facilities during the performance of their work, which makes them able to convey the truth and news to public opinion.”
