Three candidates pull out of Kuwait’s parliamentary elections

— Three of the contending candidates have decided on Monday to withdraw their campaigns from 17th parliamentary elections to be held on September 29.
Of the fifth Municipality, Jassem Al-Ali, Saoud Al-Sehaly, and Meshbib Al-Sehaly have pulled out of the National Assembly elections amounting to a total of 11.
According to State election laws, the deadline to withdraw from district elections for this year will be on September 22nd, seven days before voting polls open.
Since the last parliamentary dissolve in 2016, candidates from five districts will be holding their campaigns in the forthcoming weeks as Election Day draws nearer for the choice of electorates to vote for National Assembly and Municipality representatives with 50 available seats.
