Gaza City: Three Palestinians were killed on Sunday as thousands of Palestinians were moving back to the northern region of the Gaza Strip following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the “Netzarim” military axis. The fire occurred as the influx of displaced Palestinians started flowing through Salah Al-Din street, which had been opened for vehicles to travel in both directions. People were seen carrying their luggage and tents after an absence of about 16 months.
According to Kuwait News Agency, Gaza’s Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal stated that three dead Palestinians arrived at hospitals due to Israeli forces’ fire in the eastern area of Gaza City. Additionally, a team had collected tens of bodies from the area where the Israeli forces had withdrawn.
Basal urged Palestinians not to move towards the eastern region and Israeli military border sites, advising adherence to the directives issued by authorities. As a large number of Palestinians returned to their homes, they began inspecting the area, discovering widespread destruction of homes and properties, including the main and secondary roads, as they started searching for those missing.
