National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim said on Wednesday that His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s directives prove that Kuwait’s rulers throughout the centuries had plenty of wisdom and tolerance.

Al-Ghanim, in tweets, thanked and appreciated His Highness the Amir’s instructions, including his call for national dialogue between both legislative and executive bodies, his backing to relevant outcomes and his decree to put Article 75 of the constitution in place, as well as his command for the heads of the three authorities (legislative, executive and judicial authorities) to suggest guidelines and conditions for pardoning some Kuwaiti convicts in connection with various cases.

He cited His Highness the Amir’s instructions as proving that the rulers of Kuwait throughout the centuries had plenty of shrewdness and tolerance and that the country’s political leadership has always been keen to ensure stability, concord and togetherness.
