Trump hails Yemen power-sharing deal as “very good start”

WASHINGTON, US President Donald Trump praised the Saudi-brokered power-sharing deal signed between Yemen’s internationally recognised government and the Southern Transitional Council, which ends the conflict between both, as a “very good start.” In a twitter post, the president went on to urge the sides to complete a “final deal.” The Riyadh Agreement sees the government returning to the interim capital, Aden, as both join forces to combat Houthi militants.

Meanwhile, the Southern Transitional Council (STC) is set to be handed several ministries.
