Trump looks forward to third summit with North Korea’s Kim

WASHINGTON, US President Donald Trump said Saturday that a third summit with North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un “would be good,” terming their relationship as “excellent.” Kim said, in a speech to the North Korean parliament yesterday, that he is willing to meet Trump for a third summit and that he and Trump have developed “a good relationship.” Trump said in a tweet in this regard, “I agree with Kim Jong Un of North Korea that our personal relationship remains very good, perhaps the term excellent would be even more accurate, and that a third Summit would be good in that we fully understand where we each stand.” He added “North Korea has tremendous potential for extraordinary growth, economic success and riches under the leadership of Chairman Kim.” “I look forward to the day, which could be soon, when Nuclear Weapons and Sanctions can be removed, and then watching North Korea become one of the most successful nations of the World!” he remarked. Trump and North Korean leader’s second summit in Vietnam in February ended without signing an agreement due to differences on US demands for Pyongyang’s denuclearization and North Korea’s demand for sanctions relief.
