Trump, Macron mull Mideast unrest

WASHINGTON, US President Donald Trump and French counterpart Emmanuel Macron held talks Wednesday on the sidelines of the 74th session of theUN General Assembly in New York.

“The two leaders discussed ways to address tensions in the Middle East, particularly in responding to Iran’s increasingly belligerent behavior,” reads a statement by the White House.

It added that President Trump also stressed the need to reduce barriers to trade and level the playing field for American workers and companies, including addressing France’s Digital Service Tax.
