Trump presses quick conclusion of NAFTA renegotiation in call with Trudeau

WASHINGTON, President Donald Trump spoke with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday to address the renegotiation of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

During the call, Trump “underscored the importance of quickly concluding an agreement,” said a White House statement.

The president has repeatedly called NAFTA “one of the worst trade deals in history” and that it is “terrible” for the US.

The deal which was created in 1994 includes the US, Canada and Mexico.
