Trump suggests Kim Jong Un meeting to be at Peace House on Korean border

WASHINGTON, US President Donald Trump suggested that his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un take place at the Peace House on the border between North and South Korea, where Kim met last week with South Korean president Moon Jae-in.

“Numerous countries are being considered for the MEETING, but would Peace House/Freedom House, on the Border of North & South Korea, be a more Representative, Important and Lasting site than a third party country? Just asking!” Trump tweeted on Monday.

The Trump administration was previously considering five locations outside the US and Korea for the summit with Kim sometime by early June.

Last week the leaders of North and South Korea pledged to end hostilities toward “complete denuclearization” of the Korean peninsula. Pyongyang has also said it would close its nuclear test site next month.
