TUNIS, The second round of Tunisia’s presidential elections kicked off early Sunday to elect either Nabil Karoui or Kais Saied.
There are over seven million eligible voters for the elections, with 49 percent being women and 35 percent between the ages 18 to 35, according to official statistics.
The elections will be monitored by 13,000 observers from NGOs, including 450 foreign ones.
This is the third time Tunisians cast their votes within one month, after the first round in the presidential elections and the legislative elections.
Tunisia decided to hold early elections following the death of former president Beji Caid Essebsi last July.
