ANKARA Turkish and Russian officials are set to meet again in Ankara on Monday to look into the happenings in Idlib, Syria, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Monday.
Today’s meeting followed a similar one held in Moscow on Saturday, mainly to discuss the volatile situation in Idlib.
Speaking during a joint news conference with visiting Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Miro Cerar, Cavusoglu said there was no consensus with Russia officials regarding the escalating situation in Idlib.
The minister hinted that should today’s meeting fail to make any progress, then the leaders of Turkey and Russia could hold a bilateral summit on the escalation in the Syrian province.
