ISTANBUL, May 28 (KUNA) –Turkey and Germany are set to hold political consultations at the level of advisors in Ankara on May 29.
The political consultations will be held under the co-chairmanship of the Turkish Foreign Ministry’s undersecretary Umit Yalcin and German State Secretary of Foreign Ministry Andreas Michaelis, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a press statement.
During the meeting, both sides will mainly discuss existing relations between both countries, along with regional and international issues of common interest, according to the statement.
Relations between Ankara and Berlin have been strained since the former prevented Turkish officials from meeting Turks in Germany ahead of a constitutional referendum on April 16, 2016.
