ANKARA, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will discuss the situation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) with French, Germany and British leaders during a quartet summit to be hosted by London next month.
The quartet summit will be held after the NATO meeting due on December 3-4, Turkey’s presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said in a news conference following the Cabinet meeting Tuesday.
The summit will focus on the NATO’s activities and risks facing it in the 21st century, he added.
He noted that the planned visit of Erdogan to London will come at a time when the NATO suffers split because of failure to sharing NATO burden.
Earlier this month, French President Emmanuel Macron has described NATO as “brain dead” for many reasons, including the lack of the US commitments to the NATO.
