AMMAN, Two Jordanians held by Israel were released and returned home, the Jordanian authorities said on Wednesday.
The official news agency, PETRA, said the pair, Heba Al-Labdi and Abdulrahman Maree, came back to Jordan via King Hussein Bridge.
Israel had held the two citizens for two months without charging them.
Jordan, on Tuesday, called back the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Israel, protesting Tel Aviv’s “illegal and inhuman” detention of the Jordanian citizens.
Al-Labdi was arrested during a visit to Palestine in August. Maree was detained the next month. He was taken away in the same circumstances.
