Kuwait on Thursday received high praise from UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for continuous support to Syrian refugees in their crisis.
Kuwait’s permanent representative to the UN and international organizations, Ambassador Nasser Al-Hain told KUNA that he received the UNHCR’s head Filippo Grandi in Geneva, to explore issues of common interests.
Al-Hain reaffirmed Kuwait’s appreciation to Grandi’s humanitarian role and efforts regarding the refugees’ crisis worldwide.
Kuwait’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Al-Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah met with Grandi earlier this week in New York.
