WASHINGTON, The US House Judiciary Committee announced on Tuesday the first impeachment hearing session would be held on December 4.
In a statement, Chairman of the Committee Jerry Nadler said “I have also written to President (Donald Trump) to remind him that he Committee’s impeachment inquiry rules allow for the President to attend the hearing and for his council to question the witness panel.” He added that “the President has a choice to make: he can take this opportunity to be represented in the impeachment hearings, or he can stop complaining about the process.
“I hope that he chooses to participate in the inquiry, directly or through council, as other Presidents have done before him,” Nadler noted.
Over the last two weeks, the House Intelligent Committee held several public hearing sessions on the impeachment of President Donald Trump.
