US President, Kuwait Amir discuss “enduring friendship” — WH

WASHINGTON, US President Donald Trump and His Highness the Amir of Kuwait have “discussed the enduring friendship and strategic partnership between the United States and Kuwait.” White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere said in a statement that President Trump spoke, Thursday, with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad.

“The President was pleased to hear that the Amir is feeling better and wished him good health,” the deputy press secretary said in the statement.

His Highness the Amir and President Trump reviewed the distinguished ties between the two countries in light of the close strategic partnership.

President Trump welcomed meeting with His Highness the Amir, who is now staying in the US for medical tests, “at an appropriate time.” Trump wished His Highness the Amir everlasting well-being and good health and Kuwait further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir expressed his great appreciation to President Trump for seeking reassurance about his health.

His Highness the Amir lauded these sentiments which embody the depth of historic relations between the two countries and the Kuwaiti and American peoples.

He also renewed the call for President Trump to pay an official visit to Kuwait, wishing him good health and well-being, and the US and its nation further development and success.

Moreover, His Highness the Amir wished further development and growth to the bilateral ties of the two countries.
