US unemployment rate remains unchanged in March

WASHINGTON, The US economy added 103,000 jobs in March but the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 4.1 percent, official figures showed Friday.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics indicated in March, the unemployment rate was 4.1 percent for the sixth consecutive month, and the number of unemployed persons, at 6.6 million “changed little.” According to economic reports, this is considered a weak jobs report as the 4.1 percent is considered the lowest since 2001 as economists were expecting an addition of 185,000 jobs in March.
