Vice Minister of Environment: Agricultural Rural Development Program Supports 50,000 Women in Rural Areas

The Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti said that the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Reef) support provided to targeted sectors during 2023 exceeded SAR 435 million. He added that the program has helped increase women’s participation in business and activities in rural areas, where the number of working women has reached 50,000 this year.

Al-Mushaiti’s remarks were made during the inauguration of the first interactive control panel for agricultural subsidies, through the electronic Business Intelligence (BI-Power) platform, at the “Impact of Saudi Reef Program” workshop, held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh. The control panel covers three main sectors: small-scale livestock breeders, poultry producers, and fish farming.
