The Security Media Cell (SMC) announced the killing of a dangerous criminal and two of his companions in Maysan Governorate.

The SMC stated in a statement: “A force of heroes of the Special Forces and Brigade 97 of the Iraqi army managed, at dawn on Friday, according to judicial arrest warrants, to reach one of the important dens of organized crime elements, which is one of the places to house criminals in the Fifth Kilo area of Al-Khair district, south of Maysan Governorate.”

It added: “The force killed one of the dangerous criminals after he tried to resist and clash with it, and two of his companions were killed, and large numbers of weapons and equipment were seized in his possession that he and his gang used to blackmail citizens and kill innocents, in addition to killing one of the officers, soldiers and police at precedent times.”

The SMC affirmed: “Our heroic security forces will continue resolutely to hunt down anyone who tries to tamper with security.”
