Riyadh, In a wide ranging press conference CEO of FII Institute Mr Richard Attias today addressed the challenges faced by the world in these turbulent times. He stated why it has never been more important to gather leaders together to find shared answers to the big challenges.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
In answer to questions from media organisations around the world he explained that FII is going ahead as planned, and that there has been no significant loss of participants, despite some organisations stopping their staff from travelling to the region because of insurance reasons.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Media from China, India, USA, and the Middle East asked about the relevance of their regions to this year\u2019s FII. Mr Attias explained that the FII summit in Riyadh is only one element in a global programme of summits throughout the year in Asia, S America, USA, Middle East and Europe.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
He expressed his view that investor confidence tends to take a long term view and possesses a degree of resilience to geopolitical shocks. Whilst the short term outlook may look worrying, the long term prospects may be better than people expect.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Mr Attias gave participants insight into next week\u2019s programme, including a major announcement of a new ESG tool to help emerging markets, an energy summit, an AI summit and a raft of sessions devoted to analysing the economic and social priorities of the citizens of the world.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The Future Investment Initiative, Riyadh 24-26 October will unite leaders in finance, technology, and climate next week to address global challenges. The summit will tackle issues including economic implications of current world conflicts, the role of climate change and governmental actions prior to COP28, investment into emerging markets, prosperity agenda, and strategies for leveraging AI, technology, education, and health for a better global society.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Richard Attias, CEO of the Future Investment Initiative Institute, says \u201cThe world faces an array of unprecedented challenges.
