\nThe Department of Foreign Relations of the Autonomous Administration of Northeastern Syria announced that Tajikistan had handed over 17 women and 33 children from ISIS families.<\/p>\n
The Department said in a statement today, Thursday, that ’17 women and 33 children from ISIS families who hold Tajik nationality were handed over, according to a handover document between the two sides,’ to a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan headed by Ambassador Zubaidullah Zubaidov, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Kuwait, and his accompanying delegation.<\/p>\n
For his part, the joint head of the Department of Foreign Relations, Fener Al-Kaid, stressed ‘the importance of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue as a means to resolve the crisis in the country,’ indicating that ‘the Autonomous Administration is ready to achieve this goal through negotiation and dialogue with various parties.’<\/p>\n
Al-Kaid noted that the situation in the region is “indeed complex,” adding that reports indicate that “the Turkish attacks have
\nnegatively affected efforts to combat ISIS, making the international coalition’s mission in Syria more difficult.”<\/p>\n
He pointed out that “ISIS may exploit this chaos to reorganize its ranks,” noting that “there are ongoing efforts to deport ISIS families from camps in northeastern Syria to their countries of origin.<\/p>\n
Al-Kaid stressed that “the situation requires intense international and regional cooperation to ensure security and stability and to effectively continue the war against ISIS.”<\/p>\n
For his part, Ambassador Zabidullah Zabidov expressed the gratitude of the State of Tajikistan for ‘the efforts of the Autonomous Administration and those responsible for facilitating the process of handing over ISIS women and children who hold Tajik nationality,’ according to the statement<\/p>\n
