Kuwait’s Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday recording 1,119 new coronavirus infections and two deaths caused by contamination with COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n
The new figures took total the cases tally to 294,693 and deaths to 1,703 respectively, noted the ministry’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad in a statement to KUNA.<\/p>\n
He said 1,016 more people were cured of the virus over the past day, raising the total of those who overcame the respiratory infectious disease to 280,940.<\/p>\n
He has added that the number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 12,050 with 185 of them in intensive care units (ICUs).<\/p>\n
Dr. Al-Sanad revealed that some 9,716 swab tests were conducted over the last day, bringing the total of such examinations to 2,487,024.<\/p>\n
He renewed calls for nationals and expatriates alike to abide by health precautions to curb spread of the contagion. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
