Kuwait Livestock Transport and Trading Company is fully prepared to serve livestock sacrifices during the upcoming Eid Al-Adha at the capital slaughter house and the new cattle market, said the company CEO Usama Boodai.

The slaughter house and the market have the capacity to slaughter 900 sheep per hour, said Boudai in an interview with Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday.

The company has sufficient livestock stockpiles, he said, noting that preparations for Eid Al-Adha began in the end of the past fasting month of Ramadan.

An Australian sheep costs KD 67 (USD 222), Boodai said, affirming that prices of the sacrificial lambs have slightly increase due to the coronavirus, higher transport cost and seasonal rate hike.

Customers can practise the ritual via Al-Mawashi e.application, he said, noting that he (or she) would receive a texted confirmation about actual slaughter of the cattle, as of Al-Eid’s first day.

The customers can use the e-mail: meta.e.gv.kw or buy coupons for Austrian sheep from Al-Asima Slaughter House or the New Cattle Market, whereby they will take delivery of the slaughtered cattle after Eid prayers at the distribution location specified for the Australian species.

The share-holding company, established in 1973, has a fleet of cattle transport vessels.
