{"id":58503,"date":"2021-12-15T09:10:14","date_gmt":"2021-12-15T09:10:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pr.asianetpakistan.com\/?p=84198"},"modified":"2021-12-15T09:10:14","modified_gmt":"2021-12-15T09:10:14","slug":"business-outlook-for-2022-global-chief-executives-positive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kuwaitnewsgazette.com\/business-outlook-for-2022-global-chief-executives-positive\/","title":{"rendered":"Business Outlook for 2022: Global Chief Executives Positive"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div id=\"m_divBody\">\n<div id=\"m_divWide\">\n<p>NEW YORK, Dec. 15, 2021 \/PRNewswire\/ &#8212; More than 80% of global chief executives across 44 industries believe economic growth will remain strong in 2022, although it&#8217;s not without a high level of uncertainty, according to a new survey by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t%3D0%26l%3Den%26o%3D3390168-1%26h%3D179962671%26u%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ypo.org%252Fglobal-pulse%26a%3DYPO&amp;source=gmail-html&amp;ust=1639647130066000&amp;usg=AOvVaw33P9ybpKz52NRM0jWEVscv\"  rel=\"noreferrer\">YPO<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"m_dvprnejpg13dcleft\" dir=\"ltr\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"m_prnejpg13dcleft\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"YPO Logo \" src=\"https:\/\/ci3.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/HQUg27RUdAbEeDrE9NgNKV_sXDg0f2-0TmAG7-m2zkPM--bm8TsLURmA_XXbUodJoyemFXxyFilixxHqqTK_PnUlvI-eDinS=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/mma.prnewswire.com\/media\/1065220\/YPO_Logo.jpg\" alt=\"YPO Logo \" width=\"215\" height=\"215\" align=\"middle\" border=\"0\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Conducted 18 November \u2013 5 December with 1,700 chief executives in 101 countries responding, top YPO Global Pulse Survey findings include:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b>Things are looking up for many companies in terms of revenue growth and hiring.<\/b>\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>Among those surveyed, <b>37% reported a 20% increase in revenue or more since the beginning of 2021<\/b>, and only 17% saw a decrease of 10% or more since the beginning of the year.<\/li>\n<li><b>Hiring has picked up, <\/b>with 38% of respondents experiencing a 10% increase or more in the number of employees since the beginning of 2021,<b> though 45% of firms said their total head count is about the same as it was in early 2021<\/b> and 16% said they saw a decrease.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>Most chief executives (71%) are very or somewhat concerned about the impact of inflation on their businesses next year.<\/b>\u00a0U.S. leaders (77%) are more concerned about inflation than their global counterparts.\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li><b>Inflation concerns could spell\u00a0bad news for consumers<\/b>, with respondents in the Food and Beverage (74%), Manufacturing (73%) and Retail and Wholesale Sales (62%)\u00a0industries planning to raise\u00a0prices in response to inflation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b>There seems to be no immediate end in sight for supply chain issues<\/b>, with only 2% of respondents believing they will be resolved in early 2022. Thirty-nine percent\u00a0believe resolution will come at the end of 2022, and 38% expect it in 2023 or later.<\/li>\n<li><b>The global labor shortage continues,<\/b>\u00a0with 67% of respondents saying it is somewhat or very difficult to find employees for the general workforce and 57% of respondents reporting the same levels of difficulty when it comes to C-suite and executive hires.<\/li>\n<li><b>Even though only 1% of executives surveyed believe employees are more productive at home, 74% of business leaders shared that some form of flexible work arrangements will become permanent.<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>With pandemic pressures taking a toll, some <\/b> <b>businesses are improving mental health benefits<\/b>, with 35% reporting some type of mental health investment for employees and 16% planning to add one.<\/li>\n<li>Heading into 2022, YPO members shared <b>all business leaders should focus on:<\/b>\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li>Improving employee engagement and work culture\/retention<\/li>\n<li>Exploring alternative cash streams\/protecting existing cash flows<\/li>\n<li>Preparing for inflation<\/li>\n<li>Planning for supply chain issues<\/li>\n<li>Understanding evolving customer needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b> <u>YPO Global Pulse<\/u> <\/b> <b> <u>\u00a0Methodology:<br \/>\n<\/u> <\/b>The YPO Global Pulse\u00a0was conducted by YPO from 18 November \u2013 5 December 2021 via an online questionnaire.
