A number of Kuwaiti officials affirmed Thursday that the athletics competition would be the main attraction of the third Gulf Games, scheduled tomorrow Friday until May 31st.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the press, head of the Kuwait Athletics Association Sayer Al-Enizi said that the women’s competition would begin tomorrow and will last for three days, while the men’s competition kick-start next Monday.<\/p>\n
He indicated that 100 judges would oversee the athletics competition, adding that the Kuwaiti team was fully prepared to face their peers from other GCC countries.<\/p>\n
On her part, head of the women’s committee at the association and manager of the Kuwaiti female athletics team Hanan Al-Hardan revealed that 24 female athletes were partaking in the competition, noting that players had been preparing for the Games since February.<\/p>\n
She affirmed that Kuwaiti female athletes were in high spirits, hoping that they would ascend the winners’ podium during competition.<\/p>\n
The third Gulf Games will kick off Friday in Kuwait with the participation of 1,700 athletes.<\/p>\n
The Gulf Games will include 16 competitions held in 12 locations for both male and female athletes including football, handball, Karate, judo and other sports.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
