Botswana Ambassador in Kuwait Augustine Ntshomane Makgonatsotlhe on Sunday appreciated Kuwait’s distinguished and effective role in the international humanitarian and relief area.<\/P>
Speaking to KUNA following his meeting with Deputy Chairman of Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Anwar Al-Hasawi, the ambassador commended Kuwait’s role in offering humanitarian initiatives and aid to disaster-hit countries.<\/P>
He also spoke highly of the KRCS’ great and impressive efforts in helping affected people, and launching projects that contribute to developing poor communities and helping all needy people.<\/P>
He added that his visit to the KRCS was intended to discuss cooperation and coordination regarding humanitarian aid to the needy.<\/P>
For his part, Al-Hasawi welcomed the ambassador of Botswana to the KRCS where he got familiar with relief aid offered to sisterly and friendly countries, underlining willingness to join humanitarian efforts exerted by Kuwait to help people affected by natural or man-made disasters.<\/P>
He added that they had tackled during the meeting ways of promoting his society’s efforts and bolstering contacts and partnerships with Botswana’s humanitarian bodies. <\/P>
