Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko Wednesday cautioned against “a terrible” Russian response if the Ukrainian forces use depleted uranium against the Russian troops. As soon as the first depleted uranium ammunition explodes in the Russian forces’ sites, Russia will respond terribly and give a lesson to the whole world, Lukashenko was quoted by Russia’s News Agency (TASS) as saying.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
He noted that Russia has enriched uranium and provides Belarus with it, urging to the West to be rational in this regard.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Tuesday, British deputy defense minister Annabel Goldie announced her country’s decision to provide Ukraine’s forces with depleted uranium.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
However, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned that this step would be ‘worse’ to Britain.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Additionally, Russia Embassy in London cautioned that the move would contribute to increasing tension and that using depleted uranium will affect negatively human health.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
