A severe storm system made its way into the US State of Georgia on Sunday, producing “thunderstorms, high-velocity straight-line winds, and multiple tornadoes.” According to Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, a state of emergency was issued Sunday morning after severe storms and tornadoes struck the state.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
“As we continue to monitor the weather and work with local partners to address damage throughout the day, I ask all Georgians to join us in praying for those impacted,” said the Governor in a statement.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service said that at least one tornado was indicated by radar Sunday morning in LaGrange, Georgia, about an hour south of Atlanta.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Earlier today, Kuwait Embassy in Washington called on citizens southern US to follow directives of local authorities as a result of the powerful hurricane that struck the states of Mississippi and Alabama in the past two days, and resulted in killing 26 people.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
