KUWAIT CITY: Zain Group hosted the Gulf Cup’s original trophy and match ball, marking the first stop of their promotional tour in Kuwait. The event, held in the presence of Sheikh Ahmad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, President of the Kuwait Football Association, comes ahead of the tournament’s official kickoff on December 21.
According to Kuwait News Agency, the tour is set to include stops at key locations such as Kuwait International Airport, sponsoring companies’ offices, The Walk Mall in Ardiya on Friday evening, and the Zain fan zone in Murouj on December 19. The trophy, introduced by Qatar in 2004 and now in its sixth edition, symbolizes regional unity with its design featuring an incense burner topped with a pearl, Arabian headwear, and a carved map of the Arabian Gulf.

secutive time, branding the tournament as “Khaleeji Zain 26.” This year marks the fifth time Kuwait hosts the Gulf Cup.
Zain’s partnership is part of its broader commitment to supporting major sports events and enhancing Kuwait’s stature in regional sports. The event was attended by Zain Group Chairman Osamah Al-Furaih, Vice Chairman and Group CEO Bader Al-Kharafi, and other board members and executives.
