A source in Dhi Qar Police announced that 8 people were killed and injured in a terrible traffic accident on the Sayyed Ahmed Al-Rifai road, north of Nasiriyah.
The source told Al-Nasiriyah News Network that a traffic accident occurred between a saloon car and a pickup truck on Sayyed Ahmed Al-Rifai road, north of the governorate.
He added that the accident resulted in the death of two people, one of whom was the driver of the small car and another person accompanying him from the people of Wasit Governorate, while 6 people were seriously injured, pointing out that the injured were transferred to Nasiriyah Hospital.
He indicated that the police opened an investigation into the accident, which occurred due to the high speed.
