86,439 Voluntary Hours Donated by the Red Crescent in Makkah During the First Quarter of 2024


Jeddah: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Makkah issued statistics on its volunteering in the first quarter of this year, which show that the number of voluntary hours amounted to 86,439.

During this time, the authority offered 772 voluntary opportunities that varied from providing ambulatory services for Umrah performers and visitors to the Grand Mosque, organized national and international events and sports activities, and carried out humanitarian aid, and first aid courses.

Makkah carried out 352 voluntary activities, Jeddah governorate came second with 350 activities, and Taif governorate came third with 70.

The total number of volunteers was 1,512, of which 832 men and 680 women.

Among the voluntary medical staff were specialized consultants, general practitioners, and emergency service employees.
