The security forces in Karbala, supported by army aviation, carried out a wide campaign in Fariha area, east of Karbala, to pursue wanted persons and confiscate weapons and munitions in the area.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): ‘The mukhtar of the region and one of the tribal sheikhs, who caused the tribal conflict that occurred in the region and in which firearms were widely used, were arrested.’

This campaign comes after: ‘Yesterday, Wednesday, the security forces arrested a number of participants in the tribal conflict.’
