A joint security force arrested a gang specialized in the trade in antiquities in Baquba, the center of Diyala Governorate.

A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: “A joint security force from the Antiquities Protection Police, the Intelligence Service, and intelligence detachments, arrested a gang for trading artifacts, which includes three individuals, in Baquba.”

He added: “Legal measures were taken against the gang members and they were arrested in accordance with Article 44 of the Antiquities Protection Law.”
