Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Tuesday agreed a decree to accept the retirement request presented by Chief of the General Staff of the Army Lt.-Gen. Khaled Saleh Al-Sabah.

Based on his own desire, Lt.-Gen. Khaled Saleh Al-Sabah has been promoted to the rank of General as peer today’s decree which takes effect on December 25, 2022, said Spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Col. Staff Fahad Al-Mutairi. Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled praised “the tangible efforts and great achievements” made by Khaled Al-Saleh in the modernization of the Kuwaiti Army during his tenure as Chief of the General Staff, wishing him everlasting success, the military spokesman added in a press release.
