The Secretary-General of the Ajial gathering, MP Muhammad Saadoun Al-Sayhud described the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to Washington as exceptional because it fulfilled the aspirations of the Iraqi people to provide services, improve the standard of living, and fight corruption.

Al-Sayhud stated in a press statement today that: The visit came at a very sensitive time in the Middle East region, especially with the continuation of the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the Zionist attacks on Arab and Islamic countries, through which al-Sudani directly called on the American administration to stop attacks on defenseless civilians and the necessity of complying with international law and respect the will of the people.’

He added: The visit resulted in activating the terms of the strategic framework agreement to be expanded and comprehensive, including various political, security, economic, agricultural, industrial, commercial and investment fields, including activating the work of bilateral comm
ittees and paving the way for major companies and investors to contribute to the construction, reconstruction and development process, as well as developing Iraqi human capabilities within scholarship plans and programmes. Pointing out that “the visit achieved its strategic goals in a way that serves the construction and reconstruction process.”
