Amb. Al-Baker affirms importance of Kuwait-Chinese strategic partnership

Kuwait’s Permanent Envoy to the Arab League Ambassador Ahmad Al-Baker affirmed on Tuesday Kuwait’s interest in creating Kuwaiti-Chinese strategic partnership.

This came in his speech in the 17th session of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF), which kicked off Tuesday via videoconferencing, at the level of ranking officials.

Al-Baker pointed out the historic visit of His Highness the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to China and co-opening the 8th meeting of the Forum in Beijing in 2018, in which both sides strengthened cooperation and stressed on the importance of the forum.

He also noted that this virtual meeting reminds every one of the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic on life as it is considered on one of the most difficult challenges witnessed in the modern age.

The Kuwaiti official stressed on the benefits of this crisis that showed the importance of enhancing cooperation on various levels such as health, education, technology, food and cyber security.

Al-Baker stressed on the strong and historical ties between Arab Nations and China, and the must to strengthening cooperation on the international and regional levels.

The ambassador thanked China for its support to ceasefire in the Palestinian lands and its remarkable stands in achieving peace in the area.
