An earthquake measuring 4.4 magnitude strikes northeastern Iran

An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck, on Friday, the cities of Qadi and Shawqan in North Khorasan Province, northeastern Iran.

The Seismic Center of the Geophysical Institution at the University of Tehran stated that the earthquake occurred at the meeting point of eastern longitude 56.71 and northern latitude 37.36 degrees.

Director General of the Emergency Authority in North Khorasan Province, Gholam Reza Shafiq, said that no human casualties were recorded as a result of the earthquake.”
