Apple Developer Academy Celebrates 5 Female Students Winning Global Challenge


Riyadh: Multinational corporation and technology company Apple announced on its website that a group of female students from the Apple Developer Academy, in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, won the Swift Student Challenge.

Several female students were selected to attend the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which is held annually at the company’s headquarters in California to announce the latest technologies, updates, and systems.

The visit aims to build professional and knowledge associations among developers and programmers, allow them to participate in workshops, and guarantee them an occasion to meet with technology and programming leaders from around the globe.

Apple Developer Academy Director Ohood Al-Nayel congratulated the five winners, Jawaher Al-Anzi, Afrah Jubeir, Haya Al-Saber, Wajd Al-Hadlaq and Al-Jawhara Al-Masoud, whom the academy is proud of and for representing Saudi technicians and competing at the local and global levels.

The winning application in the challenge presents so
lutions to societal problems and challenges, Al-Nayel said. The academy is working diligently and continuously to build national capabilities in the technical fields, she added.

The Apple Developer Academy, established in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, is headquartered at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) in Riyadh. The academy provides camps specialized in qualifying and developing the capabilities of female programmers using scientific and practical methodologies. The number of female graduates has exceeded more than 800.
