CAIRO, The Arab League on Saturday warned against ongoing attacks by the occupation Israeli authorities on Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The league affirmed in a statement, on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of burning the mosque, full solidarity with the Palestinian people, particularly with respect of their steadfastness in Jerusalem in the face of systematic practices by the occupation authorities.

It called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility toward the occupied city, secure protection for the Palestinian people and coerce Israel to halt “its crimes and offensives and all measures intended to alter the legal and historic status of Jerusalem.”
