The Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel Al-Asoomi said that the Arab Parliament commends Kuwait’s deep-rooted parliamentary experience, as well as the vital role of the Kuwaiti National Assembly.

In a statement to KUNA, on the sidelines of his participation in the Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, which concludes in Vienna Wednesday evening, Al-Asoomi commended the Kuwaiti policy that is based on wisdom.

Kuwaiti leaders have always been keen to support the process of joint Arab action and to strengthen communication, dialogue along with interdependence among all Arab countries, he added.

The Arab Parliament always seeks to have a clear position on issues by presenting a unified Arab vision, he pointed out.

He said the statements that were made focused on supporting common Arab issues, underlining that the presidency of the Arab Parliament is working to be close to all Arab parties and sees that there is a need for the Arab position to be unified in such international forums.

During the conference, Al-Asoomi held meetings with the participants, led by the Speaker of Kuwait’s National Assembly, where they discussed ways to support joint Arab action and enhance coordination in international forums.
