The Iraqi judiciary issued a death sentence against members of a gang specialized in international drug trade, after being arrested in a qualitative operation by the Popular Mobilization Forces.

The Popular Mobilization Commission stated in a statement: “The gang is one of the most prominent international drug trade gangs, as its members were previously arrested with a qualitative intelligence plan and a tight ambush by the Directorate of Security and Discipline, after obtaining judicial approvals.”

It added: “After completing the investigations, they were referred to the judiciary and a death sentence was issued against them by hanging.”
