Kuwait’s chief lawmaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim on Tuesday congratulated his compatriot Haitham Al-Ghais on being chosen by an overwhelming majority as the secretary general of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
Al-Ghanim expressed his warm sentiments in a cable he sent to Al-Ghais, saying this milestone would help propel the nation to global recognition.
