China’s Ambassador to Kuwait Zhang Jianwei on Monday affirmed that his country is a loyal partner to Kuwait, extolling compatibility, mutual respect and joint cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields.

This came in a lecture delivered by Zhang at Faculty of Arts at Kuwait University titled: “China in the new era… new development and opportunities”, in the presence of the Dean Dr. Abdulhadi Al-Ajmi.

The ambassador explained ties between China and Kuwait, and the Chinese-Gulf summit hosted by Riyadh last Friday.

Kuwait was the first country that signed the Belt and Road Initiative to enhance it in a way that serves Kuwait 2035 vision, he said.

Meanwhile, Al-Ajmi said the lecture highlighted the big role of ties between the two countries, in coincidence with the Chinese-Gulf summit.

He said the Faculty through this lecture aims to shed light on changes and challenges in the world.
