DGAPR Refutes Allegations Made by Inmate’s Wife – Clarification

The General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR) refuted allegations made via some websites by the wife of the detainee (B.F), claiming that the latter, transferred from the local Ras El Ma prison in Fez to the local Oujda prison, had not been able to benefit from medical examinations.

In a clarification, the DGAPR said that the inmate had benefited from several medical examinations inside and outside the local prison of Ras El Ma in Fez, in the specialties of gastroenterology and ophthalmology, adding that after his transfer to the local prison of Oujda, he benefited from 14 medical examinations within the prison and 5 specialized medical examinations in the local hospital.

The detainee is known for misconduct, notes the DGAPR, pointing out that he had already been the subject of two disciplinary decisions, although he enjoys all the rights guaranteed by law, including medical care, recreation and food.
