Dominican Association of Friendship with Morocco Created

The Dominican Association of Friendship with Morocco (ADAMAR) was officially established Thursday in Santo Domingo, with the aim of contributing to the strengthening of relations between the Dominican Republic and the Kingdom in various areas.

This is a “conducive and concrete” initiative to contribute to strengthening the bonds of friendship and brotherhood, promoting economic, cultural and scientific relations between the two countries, as well as consolidating the rapprochement between the Moroccan and Dominican peoples, said a statement by the Association.

During the Constituent Assembly of ADAMAR, it was proceeded to the adoption of the statute of the Association and the election of its board, chaired by the diplomat and political scientist, Luis Gonzalez, said the same source.

According to the statement, this Association is the “sincere and clear” manifestation of appreciation and attachment of various Dominican personalities active in different professional sectors to Morocco, and their common will to work for the deepening of historical relations between the Kingdom and the Dominican Republic.

Quoted in the statement, the president of ADAMAR welcomed the official establishment of the Association, after more than eight years of its conception as a project and idea, calling it a further milestone in the building of relations of friendship and brotherhood between the Dominican Republic and the Kingdom of Morocco.

He also emphasized the permanent determination of its members to participate actively and actively in strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

The Constituent Assembly of this Association was marked by the presence of the Ambassador of Morocco to the Dominican Republic, Hichame Dahane, who welcomed a “constructive and positive” initiative, reflecting the esteem and affection that the Kingdom enjoys in this Caribbean country.

Dahane invited, on this occasion, ADAMAR to support the dynamics of the consolidation of the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between the two countries, and to serve as a bridge of dialogue, interactivity and understanding between the Moroccan and Dominican peoples.
