Dr. Al-Rabeeah Checks on Egyptian Siamese Twins “Salma and Sarah” Two Weeks After Their Separation

Advisor at the Royal Court, General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, and head of the medical and surgical team in separating Siamese twins, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah visited yesterday the Egyptian Siamese twins, “Salma and Sarah,” at King Abdullah Specialist Children’s Hospital, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Ministry of National Guard, Riyadh and checked on their health, two weeks after undergoing a successful separation operation.

Dr. Al-Rabeeah expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the medical staff treating the twins and wished the children a speedy recovery.

Before the operation, the Egyptian Siamese twins, Salma and Sarah, were attached at the head from birth. They underwent a complex surgery that lasted 17 hours and was conducted by a team of 31 surgeons, consultants, specialists, and nursing and technical personnel.
